Analysis of the match between Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion
Crystal Palace went through a stretch of four consecutive matches without a win in October, but they have recently shown a very positive resurgence. The clear evidence is that the club has successively defeated Liverpool, Brentford and AZ Alkmaar across three different competitions: the Carabao Cup, the Premier League and the Conference League.
Notably, along with Arsenal, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Brighton, Crystal Palace is among the five clubs who remain unbeaten at home in the Premier League this season (2 wins, 3 draws). With such consistent form, it’s entirely understandable that they find themselves in the top half of the table. However, the gap between Crystal Palace and Brighton is currently just one slender point (16 versus 15), equivalent to a single draw.
On the other hand, Brighton also maintain fairly steady performance, having lost only once in their last six matches. Moreover, in the six most recent visits to Crystal Palace’s ground, Brighton forced the home side to share the points in five of them. Therefore, facing such a resilient and troublesome opponent as Brighton, Crystal Palace will have to work very hard if they want to continue their run of victories.
